The resort is clean and they have spacious parking lot in front of the Reception area and at the back of the resort where you can see the beach.
The resort have 28 rooms for their guests to accommodate. Rates are as follow:
STANDARD ROOM (good for 2 persons): 1,597.00
Deluxe Rooms (Good for 2 persons): 2,263.00
Family Room (maximum of 4 persons): 2,529.00
We took standard room good for good for 2 persons worth 1,597.00 pesos with complementary breakfast. The air conditioned room have television, hot and cold shower, 2 bath towels with 2 soaps and refrigerator. They placed drinks inside the ref and its up to you if you will consume them, of course you have to pay for it.
Here's the part of the resort that I really like :). I like their restroom located at the restaurant beside the pool area. It is very clean, fragrant and cozy. I like the waiting area and of course the sink. The trash bin is very unique. It's made of bamboo.
We did not expect the resort will be having their Octoberfest. Entrance fee is 650 pesos per person inclusive of German dinner, unlimited liquor drinks, beer mug as token, and raffle ticket. The show must go on despite of bagyong Lando. Sponsors were different resorts and hotels in Bauang, La Union. The fest was supported by the municipality of Bauang headed by Mayor Martin de Guzman together with the staff of Department of tourism.
The only negative feedback I can say about this event is about smoking in this area. My husband is smoking and this waitress confronted him to not smoke as this is not a smoking area. Where we can see the foreign guests who are freely smoking and given with an ashtray. Is this some kind of discrimination? They can't confront them to not smoke while they prohibit Filipino guests to not smoke in this area.
Overall, Coconut Grove Beach Resort is a nice place to stay when you go to La Union. The place is clean and their staff are accommodating. Sadly we had no chance to walk at the beach due to the strong current and waves of the beach because of Typhoon Lando.
